I'm a little out of touch with everything and that's the way I like to be these days
I'm sick of always trying to solve everything and I'm tired of always running out of ways
It's getting to me mentally
It's inside me and it never takes a break
I can ignore it temporarily but it never really ever goes away

I know it's hard and it might leave scars
We can do it for a common gain
But we're still real far and the subway cars are all littered with public pain

I realize that we're going under and when we do we'll all go down as a whole
In times like these, I tend to wonder exactly what it is we're waiting for

I'm a little pessimistic all the time
Yes, I think it really is that bad
I'm a critic in the best of times
I'm even a little happy when you're sad
I know it's not the best mentality but it's the only one that I've ever known
And it's gotten me this far already, but this may be the furthest i can ever go
